GOAL:

The goal of assessment is twofold. The first aspect of assessment is to identify barriers that prevent successful entry into the workplace.

The second goal is to assess the participants’ interests and aptitudes. This information is utilized to explore career interests and options.

PARTICIPANTS:

Participants may be:

• Any customer above 18 years of age who resides in Luzerne County.
• All customers must meet WIA or SPOC financial guidelines and also possess barriers which make them at risk for employment.

SERVICES:

• Career testing (Determine interests and aptitudes)
• Educational and Vocational Counseling
• Employment skills (interviewing techniques and resume writing)
• Case Management, including follow-up Activities
