GOAL:

To provide services to welfare clients, helping them move into the workforce and become more self-sufficient. This happens by working with the County Assistance Office to assist clients in finding, retaining, and advancing employment opportunities.

PARTICIPANTS:

• Participants are welfare clients who currently have little or no educational activities, clients with Limited English Proficiency, clients needing vocational counseling, and clients seeking employment.

• Job Development and Placement Assistance
• Services to clients with Limited English Proficiency
• Vocational Counseling
• Community Outreach
• Tracking System

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Serviced over 70 clients throughout Luzerne County.
• 61% of clients contacted have been successful in either finding employment or educational activities.
• Many clients are on the right path, working toward self-sufficiency.
