GOAL:

To provide academic remediation and enrichment for adult learners, enabling the learner to satisfy their GED requirements and enhance their reading and math skills.

PARTICIPANTS:

Participants must:

• Be over 21 years old
• Not have their GED, or obtain low assessment scores in Basic Reading and/or Basic Math Skills
• Possess barriers which make them at risk for education or employment

SERVICES:

• Educational Testing
• Educational Counseling
• Vocational / Job Counseling
• Familiarize customer with Career Link
• Referral to appropriate human services agencies, when needed

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Serviced over 1,000 participants
• Almost ½ of all learners took the GED exam, with 85% passing rate
• Successfully met State Performance Standards on a yearly basis
