3: Hear Now & Forever Conference

On May 12, 2008, The Luzerne Intermediate Unit will present a conference focusing on techniques and technology advancements that enhance hearing and speech for children and adults with hearing loss.
The conference will be held at Genetti’s in Wilkes-Barre, from 8:00am to 3:00pm. If you are interested in attending please print and complete the registration form.

4: Woodlands Speaker Change

There has been a change in the speaker scheduled to present at the Woodlands Inn and Resort on 3/14/08.
The speaker that will present is James Ball,Ed.D, BCBA. He will present on behavioral and social skills and how they relate to transition for students with autism.

6: High School Computer Fair

On February 22, 2008 the LIU will hold our first annual High School Computer Fair.
Students will spend the day working with animation and will compete for a chance to advance to the state computer fair.

7: Middle School Computer Fair

On Tuesday, Feburary 5, 2008, the LIU held our annual Middle School Computer fair.
Students from Dallas, Wyoming Area, Nanticoke Area, Hazelton Area, Tunkhannock, St. Mary’s Assumption and Holy Rosary competed for a chance to proceed onto the state competition.
Congratulations to all of the students; their work was truly exceptional!
